March 2020. That’s the month that flipped everyone’s world upside down. Cars disappeared from the streets, everyone stayed home, and mother nature once again flourished. However, they also happen to be among five items that stand out as some of my absolute favorite things
It seems there are countless questions from inquiring minds…a beloved friend asking me “What does it mean to be Jewish?” or a boss asking me “What is the atmosphere like during your High Holiday celebrations?” or even a fellow grocery shopper asking me “What does keeping Kosher mean?” These are all great questions, and I’m excited to attempt to explain my most cherished experiences and celebrations to readers who may not be familiar with Judaism.
The sign hit me like a ton of bricks as I walked through the French Quarter during my first trip to New Orleans - - Bon Jour Y’All. It literally summed up the unmistakable fusion of French influence and Southern charm that only NOLA can offer.
