Challenge
We want to highlight to shoppers the various minority-owned brands carried on Safeway and ACME’s shelves as well as local artists and business partners through food and fellowship, and continue connecting with our surrounding communities.
To honor the Juneteenth holiday with shoppers and the surrounding communities, Safeway and ACME hosted in store events to celebrate freedom through food and fellowship that featured minority-owned brands, local music, face painting and kids activities, raffles, giveaways and more excitement!
We want to highlight to shoppers the various minority-owned brands carried on Safeway and ACME’s shelves as well as local artists and business partners through food and fellowship, and continue connecting with our surrounding communities.
We put together community Juneteenth celebrations in stores, that include in-store sampling from over 10 minority-owned brands, face painting and activities for the kids, a nonprofit charitable donation, raffles for gift cards, brands' products, laundry detergent and more, live musical performances from bands like DC Vybe, SNACKTIME Philly, Tim on Bass, visits from local radio hosts like Patty Jackson from WDAS and more!
